Fireline Medical Support

Our experienced teams of paramedics, EMTs, and Registered Nurses provide advanced medical services on wildland fire incidents across the United States. 

Mobile Medical Clinics

Cardinal’s mobile medical clinics (medical support trailers) have two professional-grade, climate-controlled patient treatment areas, advanced medical equipment, patient monitoring systems, a dispensary window for over-the-counter (OTC) medications, and online medical control with satellite communications. The clinics come fully stocked with extensive inventories of OTC medications, first-aid supplies, advanced life support medications, and additional medications to treat common injuries, illnesses, and infections, including advanced poison oak treatments.

Skilled Medical Providers

The mobile medical clinics are staffed with at least two experienced clinicians, including registered nurses, critical care paramedics, paramedics, and EMTs. It operates under the medical direction of a board-licensed emergency medicine physician who approves standing orders and facilitates online telehealth consultations and prescription services.

Fireline Medical Teams

Cardinal’s Fireline Medical Teams consist of highly trained and experienced EMPFs and EMTFs equipped with a 4x4 truck, patient transport UTV, and BLS/ALS medical and safety equipment to provide prompt medical attention to fireline personnel.

Cardinal’s teams are passionate about wildland fire and take advantage of any opportunities to train and integrate with the fire crews they work with.
